Evelyn Louise Nolen was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She attended grammar school at Henry L. Palmer grammar school and Lincoln High School. After graduation, she attended Milwaukee Area Technical College, where she obtained her nursing degree.
Evelyn Louise Nolen has been married to Andrew Nolen Sr. for 21 years. She and her husband together have six children; four girls and two boys, 16 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. She has been employed as a nurses’ assistant and as a licensed practical nurse. She has also been employed at nursing homes, hospitals, and hospice facilities in the Milwaukee area.
She accepted her call to the ministry and attended Logos Theological Institute, where she obtained an associate and a bachelor’s degree in theology. She volunteered at the Milwaukee Secure Detention Facility, where she provided outreach ministry to the inmates, by way of bible studies.
Answering a higher call of God on her life, she returned to college at Agape Love Bible College, where she obtained her master’s degree in Christian Counseling. At the time of this writing, Evelyn is attending the Agape Love Bible College and Theological College, where she will obtain her Doctorate in Divinity on August 10, 2019.
Evelyn served as a minister at Committed to Christ International Ministries and after faithful and dedicated service was elevated to the position of Elder. For a brief period, she taught the Adult Sunday School and the New Members Classes. Evelyn also served as personal intercessor for her pastor, chief intercessor for the ministry, and was a member of Covenant Sisters International, under the supervision of Dr. Joyce Thornton, now Apostle Thornton. Evelyn remained at Committed until the church relocated to Texas in 2014.
